30 Dec 05: Sadly it has not proved possible to arrange a replacement for League round 11 so there is no race on 2 January 2005. The number of counting events for the League remains at 8.

23 Dec 05: League round 11 at Hempton has been CANCELLED. Organiser Trevor Brown said, "Due to unforeseen circumstances the Hempton Cyclo cross on January 2nd 2005 has had to be cancelled. The landowner has received last minute objections by local residents this year, and has been forced to withdraw permission to use the area of common where the race takes place. The land has recently been used by youngsters driving not only motorbikes but also cars, which has understandably upset many of the residents. Due to the lack of time for negotiation and the fact that the land owner has now gone away for Christmas and New Year, we have no alternative but to cancel. Please apologise to all prospective riders and we hope to resolve this conflict next year."

There is a possibility of a replacement event being scheduled. Please keep an eye on this site for further developments.

23 Dec 05: Fixed error in the youth league table.

Alternatively if you can donate an old frame, wheels, components etc. that are just taking up space then let him know. Contact Mark on markwyer@ntlworld.com or speak to him at races (Mark rides for CC Ashwell in blue and white kit).

17 Oct 05: Found at yesterday's CTC Rough Stuff ride: a grey luggage shelf from a car. If it's yours, then please contact organiser Pete Whelan. Said Pete, "The event went off very well, with 125 riders entering for a bash around the forest trails and bridleways of the Suffolk coastal area around Tunstall/and Tangham forests. Thanks to all who entered. A few people got very lost, but eventually got back OK. See you next year (15th October), when we might run the route in the opposite direction or even a totally different course."

8 Sep 05: Only 3 days to go until the opening race at Brickwall Farm. If you haven't joined the league yet, it's too late for points to count at this race, but get yourself entered so that you don't miss out on the next one.

8 Sep 05: Nathan Miller has started 'cross training sessions on Saturday mornings at Foxhall stadium. Meet at 10am at the main gates. The emphasis is on technique rather than excessive work so it's a suitable session for the day before a race. Contact Nathan on 01473 430264 for more details.

6 Mar 05: Results are finally available from the final league round 16. Sorry for the delay but your webmaster has been enjoying a break in South India. Plenty of bicycles there, but if you want something sub-20lb you'd better be prepared to settle for, say, a wheel.
